Data controller
The data controller is the operator of the Montaro platform. Contact: through the contact form or the platform's email.
What we collect
Account details (name, email, password in hashed form, phone if you provide it), job and bid content (descriptions, photos, area, address), chat messages, reviews, and the content of the estimate conversation.
Why we process it
To run the service (connecting customers and pros), for notifications you asked for, for security and abuse prevention, and for anonymous traffic statistics.
Estimate assistant
The estimate conversation and the photos you upload are sent to an AI provider (OpenAI or Anthropic) solely to produce the estimate. Do not write personal details there that are not needed.
Who sees what
Your name and profile are public on jobs/bids. Phone, email and exact address are shown only between the customer and the selected pro.
Cookies and traffic
We use essential storage for your session. With your consent an anonymous visit identifier is stored to measure traffic. We use no third-party advertising cookies.
Third-party providers
Hosting and database: Cloudflare. Email delivery: an email provider. Map: OpenFreeMap / OpenStreetMap. Addresses: Nominatim (OpenStreetMap) through our server. Sign in with Google: Google (only if you choose it).
Retention
Account data is kept while the account exists. On account deletion, personal details are anonymised; the job history remains anonymous for the other party. Error logs are deleted after 30 days, traffic statistics after 12 months.
Your rights
You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction and portability, and the right to lodge a complaint with the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (dpa.gr). You can delete your account from the settings.
